Competed in MotoX in early teens, started road racing in year 2000 in GP125 class. Competed in all rounds of Scottish GP125 Championship and all rounds of Melville Club Championship also Pegasus Club Cadwell Park and MRO Rounds at Croft and Oulton Park. Best rare result was 2nd place at Knockhill Scottish 125 round July 2000. Best Championship result was 4th place in NEMCRC. Melville Club and Scottish GP125 championships. Awarded trophy for Best Scottish Under 18 rider.

2001: Competed in all of above Championships and also Scottish Aprilla 250 Challenge. Season interrupted by injury in May. Returned to racing in August and competed rest of season. Best race results were five 1st places and new lap records at East Fortune and Knockhill. Winner of Scottish GP125 Championship and trophy for Most Outstanding Achievement for season from Kirkcaldy and District Motor Club.

2002: Moved up to 600cc Class but season hampered by previous years injury. Competed in only four meetings, MRO Brands Hatch, Melville Club East Fortune, National Junior Superstock and Scottish Regal 600 Supersport Knockhill. Race results were 12th at Brands, 13th at Knockhill NJS, 4th at East Fortune and 6th at Knockhill Regal.

Tony has recently had an operation to repair the injuries he sustained last year and is now back to full fitness and putting in plenty of winter practice in the fields around his home on his Yamaha YZ426 Motocrosser.
